What is a Professional Dental Fraternity

The professional dental fraternity is a Greek letter organization of individuals, bonded together by ritual, which limits its membership to dental graduates and students enrolled and satisfactorily pursuing courses in an accredited school of dentistry.  It is NOT an honorary fraternity or recognition society!

Our Goal

The Professional Dental Fraternity's goal is to

promote the high ideals and standards of its profession

to advance the professional knowledge and welfare of its members

provide a medium through which its members with a common interest can develop everlasting friendships

How Does This Work?

A professional dental fraternity follows a pattern in selection and training of its members:

  1. Stresses the importance of high professional ethics and practices.

  2. Conducts an extensive program of speakers, tours, forums, and research projects that are designed to broaden the professional knowledge of its members.

  3. Grants scholarships and awards that encourage professional proficiency and provide a service to the school and community.

  4. Works to complement the curriculum of the school and helps to provide the cultural and social graces to round out the whole man or woman.

  5. Fosters athletic and social functions that stimulate the development of life long friendships.

Who Are We?

The following professional dental fraternities constitute the American Dental Interfraternity Council:
